Viewing/Editing Household Data

To view or edit household data, single click on the Household Item in the Left Navigation Panel. All household data rows in the system will be displayed in the Right Grid Panel. Identify which record you would like to view and then double-click on its row. The Edit Household window will pop out:


The Edit/View Household window will show the household data in the left pane and the geospatial location of the household on Google Maps in the right pane.

Once you've edited the data, click Save. If you did not edit any data you may click the close window button marked by an X in the top right of the window.

Entering Household Data

To enter household data, first log into the KHS application using the credentials provided to you via email.

Once logged in, you see the Home screen which looks like this:


The Home screen has two panels:
1. Left Navigation panel
2. Right Grid panel

Whenever you click on the items in the Left Navigation Panel, corresponding data will be displayed in the Right Grid Panel.

To start entering Household data, make sure you are in the Household view by single clicking the Left Navigation Panel on the Household Item. The Household Grid should appear in the Right Grid Panel with all the household data rows currently in the system. Click the Add button at the top of the Right Grid Panel to add a new household record. The Add Household window should pop out:


Enter:
1. Household ID - should be an 8 digit number
2. Date - the date the survey was done for this household
3. Address
4. Postcode
5. State - please use the dropdown list
6. Mukim - please use the dropdown list
7. Study Population - please use the dropdown list
8. Latitude - in decimal degrees eg 3.774608
9. Longitude - in decimal degrees eg 103.270462
10. Number of household - the number of people living in the house (do not confuse with number of respondents)
11. Estimated total monthly household income - 5 digit numeric maximum

Kuantan Health Study Installation

Kuantan Health Study Beta is ready for installation using Adobe Air. Adobe Air allows us to standardize your data entry experience in case your browser has different configurations compared to when we develop the system.

A. Installation


Step 1 Using your favourite browser, browse to http://khs.dynalias.org/pages/install and click on Install Now









Step 2 When asked whether you would like to install Adobe Air, click Yes.







Step 3 Next you need to install the Kuantan Health Study Application. Click Install to continue.








Step 4 Install the Kuantan Health Study into C:\Program Files\khs directory and click Continue







Once your installation is successful, you should see the login screen from your newly installed and launched Kuantan Health Study Adobe Air Application.
